Jiggerypipery Jiggerypipery
released their second Album "The Drift" in 2003 ‘The Drift is a top notch display of
musical alchemy and group dynamics in action’ John O’Regan – fROOTS (July 2003) ‘Often
Glorious’ Colin Irwin, Mojo (March 2003) The new album further develops their unique style and distinctive arrangements, ranging from haunting slow airs to pulsating and driving reels, pipe marches and hornpipes, mostly composed by James Robertson. The chemistry of the band mixes Robertson’s distinctive 60 years of highland pipe playing, learned from his famous father, Pipe Major "JB" Robertson with the hard core, driving drumming of ex Boomtown Rat, Simon Crowe. Blend this with ex. Waulk Electrik bassist Peter Bingham, fiddle playing from Carl Allerfeldt, the cittern of Tony Bayliss and you have an exciting and listenable concoction of highly charged Celtic Funk.
